Terms & Conditions of Rentals
We, Algarve Sunshine Holidays (ASH), arrange bookings of accommodation as agents of the owners of the property. References to ‘we’ or ‘us’ refer to Algarve Sunshine Holidays or our client. References to ‘you’ or ‘your’ apply to you as a customer of ASH making the booking and all members of your holiday party. So that you understand the basis of the contract between you and the owner when you book your accommodation, we have laid out, as clearly as possible, the conditions on which you’re booking is made. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your normal statutory rights.
You can book the accommodation and take up the offers shown on our website. You must be over 18 years when you book your accommodation. When we issue our written confirmations to you, the owner enters into a contract with you, which is subject to these booking conditions. We have the right to refuse any booking prior to our written confirmation, if we do so you will receive this in writing along with a full refund of any money you have paid to us. Please discuss your party bookings beforehand to ensure the owner accepts your requests, as large parties wholly made up of a single sex and under the age of 25 years may be refused. Once written confirmation is received by you, check thoroughly and advise if any detail is incorrect.
When you book your accommodation a 30% deposit of the total rental cost to secure your option is required. Your written confirmation is then issued as and when is reasonably possible showing your reservation details and the balance of the cost which is to be issued to us by the date stated. However if you book less that 12 weeks before the arrival date, the full payment is due straight away.
3. Cancellation or changes made by us.
This would not be expected but problems can sometimes occur where alterations may need to be made. If this does happen we will contact you as soon as possible to explain the situation. If for whatever reason these changes are not suitable then alternative accommodation will be offered to you of a similar price ( though we do reserve the right to pass on any additional rates ). You must advise within 48 hours if you are happy with the proposal in order for us to reserve the accommodation. If this is not acceptable you must advise within 48hours and your monies will be returned to you that you have paid. No compensation will be payable in such circumstances.
Any changes that you make to your reservation once a confirmation has been issued will incur a €50 administration fee. However in such cases of cancellation of one and re booking of another can incur administration fees of as much as the total cost of your booking. We will advise if this is the case and you will confirm within 48 hours if this is acceptable. If you advise that you do not wish to carry on with your booking or fail to advise us within 48 hours your booking will be treated as cancelled.
Cancellation charges
More than 12 weeks before arrival date – Refundable 100% including deposit.
9 – 12 weeks - Refundable 60% of cost excluding deposit
4 - 8 weeks – Refundable 40% of cost excluding deposit
Less than 4 weeks – Non refundable.
In most cases rental properties are managed by ASH who take full responsibility for the accommodation before, during and after your departure. If the property is not being managed by ASH you will be advised of contact numbers of either the owner or the appropriate management company to contact with any matters that may arise during your stay.
A deposit of £200 to £750 (dependent on the property) is payable with the full balance payment which will be refunded to you once a full check on the property has been made by ASH (the same day of departure). If all items within the property are in full working order your deposit will be returned as soon as reasonably acceptable. Otherwise the deposit will go towards repairs where necessary and a further bill issued to you if the cost exceeds this. If any damage is found during your stay the owner has the right to repossess the accommodation immediately unless full cost of the damage is paid immediately.
